At CDS, climate management means systematically recording greenhouse gas emissions, setting measurable targets and reducing emissions continuously. It is based on our annual carbon footprint in line with the internationally recognised Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), making our progress transparent and verifiable.

The CDS Group records its greenhouse gas emissions in line with the internationally recognised standards of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Emissions are divided into three areas, known as scopes:
In 2025, the CDS Group caused a total of around 429 tonnes of CO₂e.

- Route-optimised tour planning to reduce transport emissions
- Replacement of roller doors with thermally insulated models
- Switch to certified green electricity
- Gradual switch of the fleet to lower-emission vehicles, e.g. electric cars
- Expansion of the photovoltaic system
- Continuous updating of the carbon footprint to make progress measurable

Yes. CDS exclusively purchases certified green electricity. As a result, no Scope 2 emissions arise under the market-based approach.
Scope 1 covers direct emissions from the company's own sources, Scope 2 indirect emissions from purchased energy and Scope 3 all other indirect emissions along the value chain.
