We support your demo equipment throughout its entire lifecycle: from building your demo pool and every deployment through to remarketing. On request, we take over the process in between without tying up your own resources, with LIMES, high-tech logistics and the right financing.
The demo lifecycle describes the complete lifecycle of a manufacturer's demonstration, test and demo equipment: from building the demo pool and recurring deployments at customer sites, trade shows and roadshows through to remarketing at the end of its service life.
The demo equipment process is the operational core within this lifecycle. It covers a single deployment from order intake to return to storage after the deployment ends, and it repeats for as long as a device remains in the demo pool. CDS takes over this process in full, with its own technical services, logistics, digital process control and financing. This keeps every device ready for use between deployments, with its whereabouts fully documented.
The demo lifecycle begins with building your demo pool. You either provide the devices to us directly, or we source them for your demo pool through other channels. We then register each device with a unique ID in our LIMES software. From that moment on, every product is recorded, its condition documented and its location traceable at any time.
If you opt for CDS to purchase the devices, we also take over the financing of your demo pool. The devices then no longer appear on your division's books: you avoid loss in value and write-downs as well as the ongoing effort for stocktaking and reporting.
You provide the products to us directly, or we source them for your demo pool through other channels.
Receipt, identity check and condition assessment of every device.
Unique inventory registration as the basis for full transparency across the entire lifecycle.
Secure storage until the first deployment. Your demo pool is now ready to go.
Each deployment starts with creating a request. The right products for the defined customers are selected from the demo pool, then the usage period and logistics are specified. Once the request has been approved by the supervisor and confirmed by the customer, CDS takes over order processing and ensures on-time shipping, either with our own logistics or via external carriers. On request, we handle setup on site and give an introduction to handling the products.
Full transparency over location, condition and dates during the deployment. CDS monitors the entire deployment period and notifies you in good time before it ends. You can follow the current status in real time via LIMES at any time.
At the end of the deployment period, you choose between:
- Extending the usage period
- Requesting collection
- Selling the device directly to the customer
Depending on the chosen transport option, the device is collected from the customer by CDS or a carrier at the end of the deployment period. After collection, every device goes through our professional refurbishment: it is inspected, reconditioned and prepared for the next order. Until the next deployment, we store the products securely on our premises, so your demo pool stays ready for use and your devices retain their value.
No demo device stays in the pool forever. When a device reaches the end of its time as a demonstration, test or demo unit, its lifecycle does not end in the warehouse: it moves on to remarketing. CDS professionally refurbishes every field-tested device, brings it back to market as a refurbished demo device and secures you additional residual value.
REFURBISHMENT:
We inspect, clean and professionally recondition your demo devices so they are market-ready again.
REMARKETING:
We remarket your refurbished demo devices in a value-preserving way through single-brand online platforms.
RESIDUAL VALUE & SUSTAINABILITY:
This lets you realise additional residual value at the end of the service life instead of tying up capital in devices you no longer need. Refurbishment and remarketing complete the demo lifecycle sustainably and preserve value.

At the centre of your demo equipment process is your dedicated point of contact: our demo coordinators. They receive your order and coordinate it with the internal departments involved throughout the entire process. Using LIMES, they keep track of every step from intake to completion.
In the video, Paul Koch, Managing Director of CDS, explains how they take care of tasks that easily slip into the background in day-to-day business, such as timely collection, and step in early before a problem becomes an escalation.
The entire demo equipment process is mapped in the LIMES software: from goods receipt when building the demo pool and every order created through to storage, all steps are transparent and visible at any time. The process is supported by our logistics, which ensures the smooth arrival and collection of the equipment. With our financing models, we also offer tailored solutions for your demo pool.

Our high-tech logistics brings your devices safely to the point of use, including uncrated transport for trade shows and events.

We purchase or finance your demo devices. You use your demo pool without having to own it.
The process consists of three steps: delivery, monitoring and return. CDS handles every step in full, from the request and delivery to the point of use through to collection, followed by refurbishment and storage.
The entire process is mapped in CDS's own LIMES software. You can track the location, condition and dates of your devices in real time at any time.
You choose between extending the usage period, having the device collected or selling it directly to the customer.
Yes. On request, CDS technicians set up the devices at the point of use and give an introduction to handling the products.
Yes. CDS also delivers devices as uncrated transport to trade show and event venues and collects them again after the deployment.
The demo lifecycle covers the complete lifecycle of your demo devices: building the demo pool, recurring deployments at customer sites, trade shows and roadshows, and remarketing at the end of the service life. CDS supports this lifecycle from provision to remarketing and manages the operational process in between.
You either provide the devices to us directly, or we source them for your demo pool through other channels. CDS receives them at goods receipt, inspects and registers every device in LIMES and stores it securely. On request, CDS purchases the devices and finances the demo pool, so the devices do not appear on your division's books and the effort for write-downs, stocktaking and reporting is eliminated.
When a device reaches the end of its time in the demo pool, CDS professionally refurbishes it and brings it back to market as a refurbished demo device. This secures you additional residual value.
