Central reporting office for violations and wrongdoing

Fully meeting our legal and social obligations as a company and employer is a central concern for us, as is fully uncovering any existing wrongdoing.
Through the Compliance Center, we give our team in particular the opportunity to report possible violations anonymously and without any impact on their employment.
The aim of the German Whistleblower Protection Act (Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz, HinSchG)
is to protect employees who become aware of legal violations and report them. The Whistleblower Protection Act protects the whistleblower (employee) from possible consequences. As an employer, the CDS Group is obliged under the Whistleblower Protection Act to set up reporting channels that enable employees to report legal violations.
Which reports fall under the Whistleblower Protection Act?
The following violations in particular fall under the Act:
• Violations of criminal and administrative offence provisions in the areas of occupational health and safety, the Minimum Wage Act and the Temporary Agency Work Act
• Regulations on combating money laundering
• Product safety requirements
• Environmental protection and food safety requirements
• Consumer protection regulations
• Data protection regulations
How can an incident be reported?
There is an internal reporting office that all employees can contact. An incident covered by the HinSchG can be reported by phone or by email.
• Report by email: cds.hinweisgeberstelle@gidd-service.de
• Report by phone: +49 71189217396
How is the principle of confidentiality ensured?
The internal reporting office is designed to protect the identity of the whistleblower, the persons who are the subject of the report and any other persons mentioned in the report. The identity of these persons is only disclosed to those responsible for receiving the report and for taking follow-up action.
How is a report handled?
A report received via the channels described above is forwarded directly to Mr Peter Seidel (Data Protection Officer of the CDS Group). Mr Seidel confirms receipt of the report to the whistleblower within 7 days. To follow up on the report and investigate the possible violation, Mr Seidel will consult the relevant people at CDS (e.g. management, IT, HR or similar) to clarify the facts. Mr Seidel will then contact the whistleblower within 3 months to provide feedback on the report.
