Diakonische Stiftung Ummeln (Diaconal Foundation Ummeln): Youth welfare
About the project
As part of the project "Participation through media competence", the Diakonische Stiftung Ummeln is equipping its housing groups with terminal devices in order to train its residents in media competence and to enable them to be more independent. After the housing groups of the integration assistance have already been successfully equipped with three notebooks, the residents of the youth assistance are to be supplied next.
The group laptops are intended to make it easier for the young people to do research for homework, for example. Using the devices, the Diakonische Stiftung Ummeln would like to train the media skills of the youths and teach them how to use social media responsibly. The devices will give the young residents a bit more independence in the future: they will be able to do research on the internet on their own and make video calls to relatives.
How can you help?
You can donate old devices of any kind, which we will refurbish free of charge and provide to the Diakonische Stiftung Ummeln.
